At a concert at Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, the Grammy-winning sextet gave an entertaining, at times hilarious account of the era through its street cries, tavern and hunting songs and personal intimacies. The program also reflected the British ensemble' new directions -- toward folk and popular music. |
